The story begins with a narrator who liked to draw when he was a child. Adults did not understand him.

The narrator becomes a pilot. One day his plane breaks down in the desert.

There he meets the Little Prince. The boy asks him to draw a sheep.

The Little Prince comes from a small planet. On his planet there is a rose.

He loves his rose, but he does not always understand her. So he decides to travel.

He visits different planets and meets strange adults.

At the end the Little Prince decides to return to his rose.
