Larry started his first day at the Leader, a busy newspaper office in New York.

His job was simple but important: when an editor shouted “Copy!”, Larry had to carry the pages to a pneumatic tube.

On the way to the tube, Peter stopped him and said, “I’m going there too. Give it to me, and I’ll send it.”

Larry trusted him and returned to the office, but when the newspaper was printed, the yellow story was missing.

The editor asked what happened. Peter denied taking it, so they went to the tube room and asked another boy.

The boy remembered seeing Peter with the yellow pages. Then the editor opened Peter’s coat, and the missing story fell to the floor.

Peter lost his job, while Larry learned an important lesson: when someone gives you a task, finish it yourself.
