Ayer por la tarde un viajero estaba sentado en casa y estaba leyendo un mensaje.

Yesterday evening a traveler was sitting at home and was reading a message.

A las 7 de la tarde estaba cocinando la cena mientras la música sonaba en la habitación.

At 7 p.m. he was cooking dinner while music was playing in the room.

Estaba cortando verduras cuando sonó el teléfono.

He was cutting vegetables when his phone rang.

Mientras hablaba por teléfono la comida se estaba quemando un poco.

While he was talking on the phone the food was burning a little.

A las 9 de la noche estaba viendo una película y se sentía cansado.
