El doctor Oliver pasó toda su vida entre libros, frascos y notas.

Doctor Oliver had spent his whole life among books, flasks, and notes.

Desde joven soñaba con crear una cura para una enfermedad rara.

Since he was young, he had dreamed of creating a cure for a rare disease.

Cada día iba al laboratorio, incluso en días festivos y en los inviernos más fríos.

Every day he went to the laboratory, even on holidays and in the coldest winter days.

Probaba nuevas mezclas, anotaba los resultados y volvía a empezar.

He tried new mixtures, wrote down the results, and started again.

Pasaron los años, el cabello de Oliver se volvió canoso, pero nunca se rindió.

Years passed, Oliver’s hair turned gray, but he never gave up.

A veces los vecinos se reían, diciendo que desperdiciaba su vida en “frascos con líquido”.

Sometimes neighbors laughed, saying he was wasting his life on “jars with liquid.”
