La pomme sous le canapé

Aujourd'hui, c'est une froide soirée d'hiver.

Today is a cold winter evening.

Dehors, il neige, mais il fait chaud dans la maison.

It is snowing outside, but the house is warm.

Anna rentre à la maison après le travail.

Anna comes home after work.

Son frère Mark prépare déjà du thé.

Her brother Mark is already making tea.

Sur la table, il y a du pain, du fromage et des pommes rouges.

There is bread, cheese, and red apples on the table.

Anna prend une pomme, mais elle tombe par terre.

Anna takes an apple, but it falls on the floor.

La pomme roule directement sous le canapé.

The apple rolls straight under the sofa.

Le chat Tom court vite derrière elle.

The cat, Tom, quickly runs after it.

Une minute plus tard, le chat sort de dessous le canapé avec la pomme.

A minute later, the cat comes out from under the sofa with the apple.

Mark rit : « Tom, ce n'est pas ton dîner ! »

Mark laughs, “Tom, that is not your dinner!”

Anna prend la pomme et la lave.

Anna takes the apple and washes it.

Puis elle la coupe en deux.

Then she cuts it into two pieces.

Elle donne une moitié à Mark.

She gives one half to Mark.

Ils boivent du thé, mangent la pomme et regardent la neige.

They drink tea, eat the apple, and watch the snow.

C'est une soirée simple, mais ils sont très bien à la maison.

It is a simple evening, but they are very happy at home.
