In the previous lesson, we studied the simple future tense. Today, we will learn the present conditional — a very useful tense for expressing conditional actions, wishes, or hypotheses.
The present conditional is used to express an action that depends on a condition. It is often introduced by conjunctions such as “if” and is used to talk about hypothetical situations or desires.
To form the present conditional, take the stem of the simple future tense and add the endings: -ais, -ais, -ait, -ions, -iez, -aient.
