A Family Trip to the Furniture Store

В субботу утром семья Петровых решила поехать в большой мебельный магазин за городом.

On Saturday morning, the Petrov family decided to go to a big furniture store outside the city.

Папа хотел купить новый диван, потому что старый уже был совсем изношен.

Dad wanted to buy a new sofa because the old one was very worn out.

Мама мечтала о большом обеденном столе, за которым можно собираться всей семьёй.

Mom dreamed of a large dining table to gather with the family.

А дети, Лена и Игорь, хотели найти удобные стулья и полки для своих игрушек.

And the children, Lena and Igor, wanted to find comfortable chairs and shelves for their toys.

Когда они приехали, магазин оказался огромным, с множеством красивых залов и витрин.

When they arrived, the store was huge, with many beautiful showrooms and displays.

Сначала все пошли в отдел гостиной. Папа сел на каждый диван, проверяя, насколько он мягкий и удобный.

First, they went to the living room section. Dad sat on every sofa to see if it was soft and comfortable.

Мама остановилась возле длинного деревянного стола и начала рассматривать его ножки и цвет.

Mom stopped by a long wooden table and looked at the legs and the color.

Дети побежали в отдел детской мебели и радостно прыгали на маленькие кресла.

The children ran to the kids’ section and happily jumped on the small armchairs.

Потом они всей семьёй пошли в кухонный отдел. Там мама заметила удобные стулья с жёлтыми подушками, которые всем понравились.

Then the whole family went to the kitchen section. There, Mom noticed comfortable chairs with yellow cushions that everyone liked.

Папа предложил посмотреть ещё шкаф для прихожей, чтобы хранить обувь и куртки.

Dad suggested also looking at a hallway cabinet to store shoes and coats.

После долгого выбора они решили взять большой обеденный стол, серый угловой диван, два жёлтых стула и высокий шкаф.

After a long choice, they decided to take a large dining table, a gray corner sofa, two yellow chairs, and a tall wardrobe.

Когда вещи погрузили в машину, все были довольны и обсуждали, как они расставят мебель дома.

When the items were loaded into the car, everyone was happy and talked about how they would place the furniture at home.

Вечером, уже в своей квартире, семья начала вместе распаковывать покупки и придумывать, где что поставить.

In the evening, already in their apartment, the family began to unpack the purchases together and think about where to put everything.
