Anna avait récemment déménagé dans une nouvelle ville pour le travail.

Anna had recently moved to a new city for work.

Her apartment was in an old building with high ceilings and large windows.

On her first weekend, she decided to walk around the neighborhood to get to know the area better.

Au coin de la rue, elle vit une petite boulangerie d’où s’échappait l’odeur du pain frais et du café.

At the corner of the street, she saw a small bakery that smelled of fresh bread and coffee.

Anna entra, acheta un croissant et une tasse de cappuccino.

Anna went inside, bought a croissant and a cup of cappuccino.

À la table voisine, une vieille dame tricotait une écharpe.

At the next table, an elderly woman was knitting a scarf.

La dame sourit à Anna et dit : «Bienvenue dans notre ville !».

The woman smiled at Anna and said, “Welcome to our city!”.

Anna la remercia et sentit qu’elle se sentirait bien dans ce nouvel endroit.

Anna thanked her and felt that she would feel comfortable in this new place.

Après le petit-déjeuner, elle alla au parc, où des enfants faisaient du vélo et un musicien jouait de la guitare.

After breakfast, she went to the park, where children were riding bicycles and a musician was playing the guitar.

À partir de ce jour, Anna décida de découvrir chaque matin quelque chose de nouveau dans sa ville.
