  1. Bienvenue au cinquième cours de français de LingTrio.

Welcome to the fifth French lesson from LingTrio.

  2. Commençons par étudier le singulier et le pluriel

Let’s start by studying the singular and plural

  3. Formation du pluriel :

    Forming the plural:

  4. 1) On ajoute généralement -s à la fin du mot : livre → livres.

    1) Usually, -s is added at the end of the word: book → books.

  5. 2) Si le mot se termine par -s, -x, -z, la forme ne change pas : le prix → les prix.

    2) If the word ends in -s, -x, -z, the form does not change: price → prices.

  6. 3) Si le mot se termine par -au, -eu, on ajoute -x : le château → les châteaux.

    3) If the word ends in -au, -eu, add -x: castle → castles.

  7. En français, chaque nom est soit masculin, soit féminin. L’article est utilisé en fonction du genre. Voyons cela de plus près
