Today we will learn a new group of words in English — object pronouns.
Hoy vamos a aprender un nuevo grupo de palabras en inglés: los pronombres de objeto.
But first — let’s quickly review what we already know:
Pero primero, repasemos rápidamente lo que ya sabemos:
Subject pronouns like: I, you, he, she, we, they, it — these are who does the action.
Pronombres personales sujetos como: yo, tú, él, ella, nosotros, ustedes, ellos — son quienes realizan la acción.
Example: I like apples. She reads a book.
Ejemplo: Me gustan las manzanas. Ella lee un libro.
Possessive adjectives like: my, your, his, her, our, their — they show what belongs to someone.
Adjetivos posesivos como: mi, tu, su, nuestro, su — muestran lo que pertenece a alguien.
Example: This is my cat. That is her phone.
Ejemplo: Este es mi gato. Ese es su teléfono.
Now let’s learn Object Pronouns
Ahora aprendamos los pronombres de objeto
Object pronouns answer the questions “Whom?” or “What?”
Los pronombres de objeto responden a las preguntas «¿A quién?» o «¿Qué?».
We use them when someone does something to someone or something.
Los usamos cuando alguien hace algo a alguien o a algo.
me, you, him, her, it, us, them
me, te, lo, la, le, nos, los, las
I like you.
Me gustas.
He sees me.
Él me ve.
She helps him.
Ella lo ayuda.
We visit her.
La visitamos.
They call us.
Ellos nos llaman.
I don’t know them.
No los conozco.
Do you hear it?
¿Lo oyes?
We use these words after the verb, when the action happens to someone.
Usamos estas palabras después del verbo, cuando la acción va dirigida a alguien.
