¡Hola, buenos días! Bienvenidos al curso de español de LingTrio.
Hello! Welcome to the LingTrio course.
Hoy hablaremos de los verbos de la I conjugación en el Pretérito Perfecto Compuesto de Indicativo y, de paso, vamos a ver cómo se conjugan en este tiempo verbal los verbos reflexivos. Luego os voy a dejar un poco de vocabulario: hoy vais a conocer la mayoría de las tiendas pequeñas que existen hoy en día en España. ¿Estáis preparados para aprender estas cosas? ¡Pues, venga!
Today we will talk about first conjugation verbs in the Present Perfect tense of the Indicative mood and, at the same time, we will see how reflexive verbs are conjugated in this tense. Then I will give you some vocabulary: today you will learn the names of most of the small shops that exist in Spain nowadays. Ready to learn these things? Let’s go!
LOS VERBOS DE LA I CONJUGACIÓN EN EL PRETÉRITO PERFECTO COMPUESTO DE INDICATIVO
FIRST CONJUGATION VERBS IN THE PRESENT PERFECT TENSE OF THE INDICATIVE MOOD
Ya hemos visto dos tiempos verbales: el Presente de Indicativo y el Pretérito Imperfecto de Indicativo. Y ahora vamos a introducir un tiempo verbal más. El Pretérito Perfecto Compuesto nos va a servir para hablar de las acciones que se han terminado de realizar en un periodo de tiempo que aún no ha terminado.
We have already looked at two tenses: the Present tense of the Indicative and the Imperfect tense of the Indicative. Now we will introduce another tense. The Present Perfect is used to talk about actions that have been completed within a period of time that has not yet ended.
Por esta razón, el otro nombre que tiene este tiempo verbal es el Presente Perfecto Compuesto.
For this reason, another name for this tense is the Compound Present Perfect.
Por ejemplo:
For example:
Blas ha regresado a casa.
Blas has returned home.
He comprado una revista.
I have bought a magazine.
Hemos pagado la cena.
We have paid for dinner.
Estamos hablando de algo que ha ocurrido (se da por terminado), pero que no deja de formar parte del presente.
We are talking about something that has happened (and is considered finished) but still forms part of the present.
El Pretérito Perfecto Compuesto se forma mediante el uso del verbo haber en presente y el participio del verbo que estamos conjugando.
The Present Perfect is formed by using the verb to have in the present tense and the past participle of the verb we are conjugating.
1. El verbo haber en presente.
1. The verb “to have” in the present tense
Hasta ahora, sólo hemos visto una forma impersonal del verbo haber: hay.
Until now, we have only seen one impersonal form of the verb “to have”: there is/are.
Y es prácticamente la única forma que se utiliza en el idioma actual por sí sola. Las formas del presente casi siempre las vamos a usar como parte de la conjugación de otros verbos. Son estas:
And it is practically the only form that is used on its own in modern language. The present tense forms are almost always used as part of the conjugation of other verbs. They are:
Yo: he
I – have
Tú: has
You – have
Él, ella, usted: ha
He, she, you (formal) – has
Nosotros, nosotras: hemos
We – have
Vosotros, vosotras: habéis
You (plural) – have
Ellos, ellas, ustedes: han
They, you (plural formal) – have
2. El participio pasivo
2. The past participle
El participio pasivo de los verbos de la I conjugación, que son los que nos harán falta hoy para formar el Pretérito Perfecto Compuesto, se forma de la siguiente manera: al infinitivo les quitamos la terminación y ponemos ado:
The past participle of first conjugation verbs, which we need today to form the Present Perfect, is created as follows: remove the infinitive ending and add -ed (in Spanish, -ado):
tomar – tomado
to take – taken
pensar – pensado
to think – thought
hablar – hablado
to speak – spoken
Y ya estamos preparados para conjugar. Mirad:
Now we are ready to conjugate. Look:
Trabajar:
To work:
Yo he trabajado
I have worked
Tú has trabajado
You have worked
Él, ella, usted ha trabajado
He, she, you (formal) has worked
Nosotros, nosotras hemos trabajado
We have worked
Vosotros, vosotras habéis trabajado
You (plural) have worked
Ellos, ellas, ustedes han trabajado
They, you (plural formal) have worked
Descansar:
To rest:
Yo he descansado
I have rested
Tú has descansado
You have rested
Él, ella, usted ha descansado
He, she, you (formal) has rested
Nosotros, nosotras hemos descansado
We have rested
Vosotros, vosotras habéis descansado
You (plural) have rested
Ellos, ellas, ustedes han descansado
They, you (plural formal) have rested
A esto le vamos a añadir los verbos reflexivos de la I conjugación. Y se conjugan así:
Now let’s add reflexive verbs of the first conjugation. They are conjugated like this:
Maquillarse:
To put on makeup:
Yo me he maquillado
I have put on makeup
Tú te has maquillado
You have put on makeup
Él, ella, usted se ha maquillado
He, she, you (formal) has put on makeup
Nosotros, nosotras nos hemos maquillado
We have put on makeup
Vosotros, vosotras os habéis maquillado
You (plural) have put on makeup
Ellos, ellas, ustedes se han maquillado
They, you (plural formal) have put on makeup
Casarse:
To get married:
Yo me he casado
I have gotten married
Tú te has casado
You have gotten married
Él, ella, usted se ha casado
He, she, you (formal) has gotten married
Nosotros, nosotras nos hemos casado
We have gotten married
Vosotros, vosotras os habéis casado
You (plural) have gotten married
Ellos, ellas, ustedes se han casado
They, you (plural formal) have gotten married
Y ahora vamos a hacer alguna que otra frase con el Pretérito Perfecto Compuesto de Indicativo:
Now let’s make a few sentences in the Present Perfect tense of the Indicative:
¿Por qué no me has llamado? He borrado tu teléfono por despiste.
Why haven’t you called me? I have deleted your number by mistake.
Ana y David han comprado la tarta, y nosotros hemos comprado las velas.
Ana and David have bought the cake, and we have bought the candles.
Cristina ha cocinado una sopa muy rica.
Cristina has cooked a very delicious soup.
EL VOCABULARIO “LAS COMPRAS”
VOCABULARY: “SHOPPING”
