¡Hola, buenos días! Bienvenidos al curso de español de LingTrio.
Hello! Welcome to the LingTrio Spanish course.
Hoy vamos a hablar del futuro, es decir, veremos las formas del Futuro Simple de los verbos de la I conjugación. Luego os explicaré cómo se usa el pronombre indefinido “cualquiera” y, por último, vamos a aprender el vocabulario de “Los animales”. ¿Preparados? Pues ¡vamos allá!
Today we are going to talk about the future, that is, we will look at the forms of the Simple Future tense of first conjugation verbs. Then I will explain how to use the indefinite pronoun “cualquiera,” and finally, we will learn vocabulary on the topic “Animals.” Ready? Let’s go!
EL FUTURO SIMPLE: LOS VERBOS REGULARES E IRREGULARES
SIMPLE FUTURE: REGULAR AND IRREGULAR VERBS
Bueno, chicas y chicos, ya hemos visto ya un montón de tiempos verbales y podemos hablar tanto en presente como en pasado. Para hablar de algo que iba a pasar en el futuro, hasta ahora hemos utilizado la construcción “ir + a + el infinitivo”. ¿Os acordáis?
Well, everyone, we have already covered a lot of verb tenses and we can speak both in the present and in the past. To talk about something that was going to happen in the future, until now we have used the construction “to go + to + infinitive.” Do you remember?
Mañana voy a ir al Museo del Prado.
Tomorrow I am going to go to the Prado Museum.
Y nosotros mientras vamos a ir al Jardín Botánico.
And we, in the meantime, are going to go to the Botanical Garden.
Y ahora vamos a ampliar nuestras posibilidades de decir cosas en el futuro con el Futuro Simple, un tiempo verbal que nos sirve para expresar las acciones futuras, decisiones y promesas en general. Y ojo, esta vez no nos va a hacer falta ver las terminaciones poco a poco, porque serán las mismas para las tres conjugaciones. Lo que tenemos que hacer es añadirlas al propio verbo en infinitivo sin quitarle nada. Mirad:
And now we are going to expand our ability to talk about the future with the Simple Future tense — a tense that is used to express future actions, decisions, and promises in general. And note, this time we don’t need to learn the endings one by one because they will be the same for all three conjugations. All we need to do is add them to the infinitive form of the verb without removing anything. Look:
Desayunar:
To have breakfast:
yo desayunaré
I will have breakfast
tú desayunarás
you will have breakfast
él, ella, usted desayunará
he, she, you (formal) will have breakfast
nosotros, nosotras desayunaremos
we will have breakfast
vosotros, vosotras desayunaréis
you (plural) will have breakfast
ellos, ellas, ustedes desayunarán
they will have breakfast
Comer:
To eat:
yo comeré
I will eat
tú comerás
you will eat
él, ella, usted comerá
he, she, you (formal) will eat
nosotros, nosotras comeremos
we will eat
vosotros, vosotras comeréis
you (plural) will eat
ellos, ellas, ustedes comerán
they will eat
Vivir:
To live:
yo viviré
I will live
tú vivirás
you will live
él, ella, usted vivirá
he, she, you (formal) will live
nosotros, nosotras viviremos
we will live
vosotros, vosotras viviréis
you (plural) will live
ellos, ellas, ustedes vivirán
they will live
Y ahora vamos a hacer algunas frases con los verbos en el Futuro Simple:
Now let’s make some sentences with verbs in the Simple Future:
Compraré fruta y algo de beber.
I will buy fruit and something to drink.
En verano estaremos en el pueblo.
In summer we will be in the village.
